2006 July, 2006: Year in Review A summary of the year is here. July, 2006: President's Distinguished Again in 2006 Joan Watson helped our club once again earn the highest award for a club: President's Distinguished. Congratulations to the entire club.
Joan Watson, President, 2005-2006 May 13, 2006: Lawson Thrill Speakers wins District 6 awards Lawson Thrill Reader won 3rd place in the District 6 newsletter contest and Lawson Thrill Speakers website won 3rd place in the District 6 website contest. Congratulations to our newsletter editor, Muniesh Khandelwal and our webmaster, Chong Sun for their efforts in providing quality information and investing their time for our club.
Muniesh Khandelwal and Chong Sun with the awards May, 2006: CTM Award - Jeff Fischbach Jeff Fischbach came back to Lawson Thrill Speakers to complete his CTM award in May 2006. Congratulations!
Muniesh participated as an officer in the executive committee and exceeded demands of the position. He increased the quality of the newsletter, a large undertaking already, and got it nominated for an award. He has excellent attendance. Muniesh is a charter member that remains committed to, and enthusiastically participates in the club. He has stepped in to substitute for many open roles, and has stepped in as a last minute speaker. He represented our club as an area governor and has maximized and exemplifies the qualities and benefits afforded by the Toastmasters program. Congratulations, Muniesh. Muniesh Khandelwal, Toastmaster of the Year, 2006 Club member Joan Watson was elected Lt Governor of Marketing for District 6. Joan completed the district officer training in June and begins her duties officially in July 2006. The goals of the Marketing governor including building membership and new clubs within District 6. June, 2005: President's Distinguished Again in 2005 Steve Sheehan helped our club once again earn the highest award for a club: President's Distinguished. Congratulations to the entire club.
Steve Sheehan, President, 2004-2005 Sharon Miller stepped up and found time in her busy schedule to replace our original VP of Education. Sharon has performed superbly at the difficult job of creating and coordinating our club schedule. Sharon facilitated very productive club Survey and Education Schedule initiatives. Sharon has delivered excellent education speeches to the club at the cost of achieving her personal TM goals. In general, Sharon assumed a big workload this year and delivered quality results. Sharon has been supportive and attentive and her sacrifices and dedication have made our club better and stronger. Sharon has served above and beyond her the role as Education VP. She is helpful in setting up mentors, preparing for educational meetings, and always helping to step in when there is a need for help. Congratulations, Sharon.

March 22, 2005: Joan Watson Receives DTM Distinction
Joan Watson, DTM Harlan Johnson received his CTM for his educational speech. 2004 October 14, 2004: More 2004 CTM Awards - Jeff Conrad Jeff Conrad received his CTM for his October 14 speech, "Computer Security."
October 7, 2004: 2004 Area 15 Humorous Speech Contest Congratulations Steve Sheehan, who won for Area 15 and moves on to District Competition October 14, in St. Paul. Great Job Steve!
April 1, 2004: Eastern Division Spring Speech Contest The competition was tough, congratulations Gabrielle Hamen-Kieffer, 2nd place International Contest. Great Job Elle!
March 25, 2004: The Lawson Thrill Speakers Second Birthday Party bash! We had cake, party horns, toasts and fun! Organized by Joan Watson; celebrated by all. Congratulations Lawson Thrill Speakers! !.

February 8, 2004: Sarah Haase receives ROKS Award Recognition Of Key Skills Award is presented to Sarah after she completed her seventh CTM speech. Great Job Sarah!
2003 November 20, 2003: Adam Palmer receives ROKS Award Recognition Of Key Skills Award is presented after the completion of the seventh CTM speech. Adam Palmer is our first recipient. The award is presented to Adam by Doug Petty, President. Congratulations Adam!
November 6, 2003: Dave Cathcart Wins "Name the Newsletter" Contest Dave had the winning entry with "Lawson Thrill Readers". Dave is accepting the award from Doug Petty, President. Congratulations Dave!
September 18, 2003: Gabrielle Hamen-Kieffer wins at the Eastern Division Contest with 3rd place in the Humorous Contest. Awesome Elle!
September 11, 2003: Area 15 Fall Speech Contest Speakers The Humorous and Evaluation contest participants were great. Representing our club were Muniesh Khandelwal in the Evaluation contest and Elle Hamen-Kieffer in the Humorous contest. Elle won first place with her speech titled: "I'm Short". Congratulations Elle, Muniesh and all the participants!
September 11, 2003: Lawson Thrillspeakers hosts the Area 15 Fall Speech contest. Over 36 people attended the contest. Doug Petty, Joan Watson, Harlan Johnson, and Mark Wilhelm worked the event. Good Job Team!
July 26, 2003: Joan Watson, ATM-B, CL received the Toastmaster of the Year Award for Eastern Division. The Eastern Division includes 6 Areas which consist of 30 clubs. Joan was recognized for her enthusiasm and drive to reach her personal goals as well as help take our club to the top of the Distinguished Club Program. Congratulations! Joan
July 10, 2003: Fellow Toastmaster Joan Watson was presented the Area 15 Toastmaster of the Year award by Linda Goeppinger, 2002 - 2003 Area 15 Governor. Congratulations! Joan
June 2003: Lawson Thrillspeakers President Distinguished was achieved by the hard work from all members of the club. As a first year club we were very proud of our accomplishments. Lawson Thrill Speakers are the BEST!
