Lawson Thrill Speakers
President Distinguished
Club 7507, District 6
Distinguished Club Program
In 2006, Lawson Thrill Speakers achieved President's Distinguished Club status for the
fourth year in a row. This rating is only achieved by approximately 8 percent of the clubs within
District 6, which currently has over 263 clubs.
The Distinguished Club Program helps our club to accomplish its purpose by focusing on two areas:
- Education awards
The number of Competent Communicator (CC), Advanced Communicator Bronze (AC-B), Advanced Communicator
Silver (AC-S) and Advanced Communicator Gold (AC-G), Competent Leader (CL), Advanced Leader Bronze (AL-B),
Advanced Leader Silver (AL-S) and Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) awards issued to members determines our
club success in helping our members learn not only speaking skills but leadership as well.
- Membership
Our club is measured on its ability to bring in new members to combat natural turnover and to provide a
stronger leadership base and to bring a flow of fresh, new ideas and personalities.
The Distinguished Club Program monitors and measures our club’s achievements in these two critical areas
on an annual basis from July 1 through June 30. The program consists of 10 goals that our club worked
to complete this last year.
